I finally got around to watching “Sideways” sent to Me by jackalope suzie. I was having a Mojito while watching, so that means I’ll have to watch it a second time…lol. Essentially it’s about two douchebags drinking their way through life. One with vast wine knowledge, and the other an I’ll drink anything guy and alot of it. Both characters were developed to the point of pathetic perfection. One I wanted to slap and the other I wanted to give severe ball kickings. The slapped one is a depressed writer who whines and cries about his ex wife, and the other is a scum bag actor who cheats on his fiance. Put this all together with a trek through the wine country and what do you get. Lot’s of “going to the dark side” with crass little references like the “the cork is tighter than a nun’s asshole”. You have to see the movie to totally appreciate what it is to develop a douchebag type character to perfection. I especially liked the ending when the asshole actor had to run his car down a ditch so he could explain his broken nose to his fiance. suzie said there were references to Femdom somewhere but I didnt catch it . Of course suzie being lil miss supersissy would see that in anything dealing with a woman on a motorcycle bashing a douchebags nose in….lol…Awesome suzie…thanks!
