I saw an interesting movie last night called “The Fountain” . Aronovsky takes on quantum and time travel in this fantasy with parallel realities and probable worlds. 3 realities span a whole millenium, 16th century Spain, the present, and a new agey 26th century astronaut. The ususual Aronovsky quest for knowledge and enlightenment bordered on corny in parts, especially the levitating new age Buddhist in full lotus…….ommmmmmmmmmmmm……., but the movie was absoutely gorgeous. Rachel Wentz and her hot husband were so easy on the eyes, her Queen Isabella gowns and goth matte red lipstick, soooooo cool. Her sexy husband (Hugh Jackman) plays 3 parts: a conquistador, a research doctor, and an astronaut. Tom (husband) searches for a legendary tree believed to grant eternal life . Elements of Paganism, Christianity, and Buddhism are infused in the movie. Does he find the tree of life, does it save his wife, can life be eternal, etc. This is a love story. His quest involves finding the tree of life to save his wife from terminal cancer.
