A Great Weekend<\/h3>\n

Greetings all for a brand new week. I had a wonderful weekend hiking several trails in the San Gabriel Mountains with two friends. We spotted 4 coyotes, two mule deer, red shoulder hawks, red tail hawks, two rattle snakes, and possibly a mountain lion. Mountain lions are shy and rarely attack unless you squat down to tie a shoe. In an encounter with a mountain lion, keep eye contact, walk backward away from her, and try to look big. This doesn’t work with tigers though, since they always attack from behind. Be sure to wear a hat with a face painted on the back in tiger territory:)<\/p>\n
